The Victron MultiPlus 12V 500VA 20A is a powerful 500VA pure sine wave inverter and a sophisticated 20A battery charger in one. It features uninterrupted switching between battery and shore power. which lets you use the same sockets throughout your build, whether on or off-grid.
When connected to shore power, you can use up to 3000W, allowing you to use all your common household appliances, and at the same time, it will charge your leisure battery at a rate of 20A. When you unplug from shore power, it will automatically switch to use your leisure batteries.
You can monitor your inverter/charger and change the settings when paired with the Victron VE.bus via the VictronConnect App. It’s worth noting that, unlike other Victron components, this does not have built-in Bluetooth.
The Victron MultiPlus 12V 500VA 20A will automatically switch to the built-in inverter when disconnected from shore power and run off the battery power instead. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will operate without disruption.

The inverter is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperature.
With the Multi Control Panel a maximum generator or shore current can be set. The MultiPlus will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is extra for charging, thus preventing the generator or shore supply from overloading.
