13A 230V UK Domestic Plug White

230V electricity can be dangerous. When installing a 13A 230V UK Domestic Plug White it is highly recommended that you seek the assistance of a professional electrician.

How to wire a 13A 230V UK Domestic Plug White:
  1. Firstly, using a screwdriver, unscrew the three screws located at the bottom of the plug. This will open up the plug and reveal its internal components.
  2. You will see three wires inside the plug – a brown wire (live wire), a blue wire (neutral wire), and a green and yellow wire (earth wire).
  3. Strip off approximately 1cm of the outer insulation from each wire to expose the inner wires. Twist the inner wires to prevent them from fraying.
  4. Next, take the brown (live) wire and insert it into the hole on the right pin. Tighten the screw to secure the wire in place.
  5. Take the blue (neutral) wire and insert it into the hole on the left pin. Tighten the screw to secure the wire in place.
  6. Finally, take the green and yellow (earth) wire and insert it into the hole on the top pin. Tighten the screw to secure the wire in place.
  7. Once all three wires have been securely fastened to the pins, push the internal components back into the plug and screw it shut.
  8. Congratulations, you have now wired a 13A 230V UK Domestic Plug!
