Ultramax 100Ah Lithium Leisure Battery 12V LiFePO4

Choose one of the best-value for money Lithium Phosphate batteries on the market.

  • With integrated cell balancing
  • Can be parallel and series connected
  • Bluetooth app available to monitor cell voltage and temperature

[Optional] Busbar and wires

Many systems on the market recommend connecting your campervan electrical system directly to your batteries. The problem with this is that things can get messy quickly if you have many connections going to one small terminal on the battery. We recommend using the Victron Energy Lynx Distributor or the Combi Fuse Holder to fix this.

Victron Energy Lynx Distributor:

The Victron Energy Lynx Distributor is perfect for most systems larger than 200A. In real terms, this means that if you plan to install a Victron Inverter/Multiplus larger than 1200VA then this is the option for you. If you are installing an electrical system which uses up to 1200W 230V while off-grid then we recommend using our smaller Combi fuse battery system. WHen you select the Victron Energy Lynx Distributor, the following is added to your order:

  • Victron Energy Lynx Distributor
  • Box Mounted Battery Isolator Switch 300A/1000A Peak
  • 2m 70mm² red single-core cable
  • 2m 70mm² black single-core cable
  • Mega Fuse Holder
  • 300A Mega fuse
  • Negative/Positive Terminal cover for 70mm cable
  • 70/8 copper tube terminal x8
  • 70/10 copper tube terminal x6
  • Heat shrink for 70mm² cable

Combi Fuse Holder:

The Combi Fuse Holder streamlines your campervan electrics. The combi Fuse Holder is a Busbar with Fuses Holders built in. This means less wiring for you and reduces the number of connections in your electrical system, improving its reliability. When you choose Combi Fuse Holder, the following is added to your order:

  • Combi Fuse Holder
  • Guardian – Busbar 4 x 8mm Studs 250Amps
  • Box Mounted Battery Isolator Switch 300A/1000A Peak
  • 2m 35mm² red single-core cable
  • 2m 35mm² black single-core cable
  • 200A Mega fuse
  • Negative/Positive Terminal cover for 35mm cable
  • 35/8 copper tube terminal x8
  • 35/10 copper tube terminal x6
  • Heat shrink for 35mm² cable

[Optional] Battery Monitoring

Knowing how much energy is left in your campervan leisure battery is vital to ensure your adventures aren’t needlessly cut short. Always know how much power you have by including battery monitoring in the form of a Victron Energy – SmartShunt 500A/50mV; use Bluetooth on your phone using the Victron Energy app to monitor your battery health at all times.

SmartShunt 500A/50mV

Monitor your battery’s health at all times via Bluetooth using the Victron Energy SmartShunt. What’s included when you select this option:

  • Victron Energy – SmartShunt 500A/50mV

Victron Energy – Cerbo GX

If you want to maximise and monitor your whole campervan electrical system, then the Victron Energy Cerbo GX is what you want. The Cerbo GX lets you remotely (via WiFi) monitor your Battery, Inverter, Multiplus and solar panels to maximise the performance of your campervan electrical system.

Monitor your battery, inverter, multplus and solar panels health at all times via Bluetooth or remotely on WiFi. What’s included when you select this option:

  • Victron Energy – SmartShunt 500A/50mV
  • Victron Energy – Cerbo GX

Victron Energy – GX Touch 50

The final cherry on the cake is the Victron Energy – GX Touch 50. The GX Touch 50 is a slim, waterproof touch screen that connects with your Cerbo GX. It monitors and controls your campervan electrical system and is viewable in the blink of an eye. This will leave even the biggest campervan experts jealous.

Monitor and control your battery, inverter, multplus and solar panels health at the blink of an eye with this super slim, waterproof GX Touch 50. What’s included when you select this option:

  • Victron Energy – SmartShunt 500A/50mV

Leisure Battery Additional Information

Why lithium-iron-phosphate?

Lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) is the safest of the mainstream li-ion battery types. The nominal

voltage of a LFP cell is 3,2V (lead-acid: 2V/cell). A 12,8V LFP battery therefore consists of 4 cells connected in

series; and a 25,6V battery consists of 8 cells connected in series.

Rugged

A lead-acid battery will fail prematurely due to sulfation:

  • If it operates in deficit mode during long periods of time (i.e. if the battery is rarely, or never at all, fully charged).
  • If it is left partially charged or worse, fully discharged (yacht or mobile home during wintertime).

A LFP battery does not need to be fully charged. Service life even slightly improves in case of partial charge instead of a full charge. This is a major advantage of LFP compared to lead-acid.

Other advantages are the wide operating temperature range, excellent cycling performance, low internal resistance and high efficiency (see below).

LFP is therefore the chemistry of choice for demanding applications.

Efficient

In several applications (especially off-grid solar and/or wind), energy efficiency can be of crucial importance.

The round-trip energy efficiency (discharge from 100% to 0% and back to 100% charged) of the average leadacid battery is 80%.

The round-trip energy efficiency of a LFP battery is 92%.

The charge process of lead-acid batteries becomes particularly inefficient when the 80% state of charge has been reached, resulting in efficiencies of 50% or even less in solar systems where several days of reserve energy is required (battery operating in 70% to 100% charged state).

In contrast, a LFP battery will still achieve 90% efficiency under shallow discharge conditions.

Size and weight

Saves up to 70% in space

Saves up to 70% in weight

Expensive?

LFP batteries are expensive when compared to lead-acid. But in demanding applications, the high initial cost will be more than compensated by longer service life, superior reliability and excellent efficiency.

Bluetooth

With Bluetooth cell voltages, temperature and alarm status can be monitored.

Very useful to localize a (potential) problem, such as cell imbalance.
